Grade Bump Offered for Students Achieving Proficient or Above on STAR Tests
For years, many students have felt that they have no incentive to do well on the STAR tests, which they have been taking every year all their school lives and which have become routine and, in some cases, unimportant to them. Noting the increase in student performance at area schools using a grade bump incentive for students who demonstrate mastery at proficient or above on the STAR tests, staff at RHS have decided to offer a similar incentive to provide a more clearly connected reason for students to do their very best and to receive an extrinsic reward for their diligent, focused work on the tests.
